The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s gather together for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there.
The D300 Food Pantry serves the children, families, and employees of Community Unit School District 300, the sixth largest district in Illinois, reaching nearly 21,000 students across 118 square miles, 10 communities, and four townships. Our mission is simple but powerful: to provide access to food and resources that build a healthier, happier, and stronger community.
On the Coldest Night of the Year, when winter reminds us how tough life can be, our team is stepping out to support neighbors who face those challenges every day. By participating in The Coldest Night of the Year, we’re raising awareness and funds to make sure warmth, nourishment, and hope are available year-round.
Join us on February 28th as we walk and fundraise together for our neighbors who face hunger. Each step and each dollar raised, helps us continue to offer our expanding service and support. Walking shoulder to shoulder will remind us all that our shared compassion is what makes us such a great community. We need each other and It’s Cold Out There.
Parkview Elementary School in Carpentersville, IL will be the start and finish location for both the 5k and 2k routes. Parking is available at Parkview Elementary and the neighboring schools, Delacey and Carpentersville Middle School.
Sign in will be held inside Parkview Elementary School (look for signs to direct you to our event's entrance).
