The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Join us on February 24, 2024 - team up, fundraise, walk, and take a moment to look closer... because it’s cold out there.
The Mission exists to receive our neighbors experiencing homelessness, help them rebuild their lives, and return them to the community as independent and contributing members of society.
We have provided services (showers, laundry, meals, clothing, blankets, coats, hygiene products, identification, transportation, etc.) to over 150 individuals this year during our daytime operations!
We have one full-time resident living in our facility (our very first!) and he is helping us perfect our resident program before opening it up to others. We are all learning so much. Because he has been in a stable environment, he has gained weight, had shoulder surgery, dental work, has applied and been approved for disability, and is looking forward eagerly to what his future holds.
the 2km walkers will have a turnaround point on this loop.
