About Agate Housing and Services
- Because of the delay of our Food Centre reopening, this will now be a virtual event**
Agate Housing and Services is proud to host our first Coldest Night of the Year. The funds we raise together will help us provide street outreach, emergency shelter, public meals and other crucial support.
This is a particularly difficult year for our neighbors and friends experiencing homelessness – unsheltered homelessness is rising, shelters are full, and rising rents and expenses are creating heavy burdens for the individuals and families we serve.
OUR MISSION is to end homelessness and relieve hunger through action and advocacy.
Agate serves close to 5,000 people every year. We provide a full range of services and housing from emergency shelter to permanent supportive housing for individuals and families. Agate is committed to helping every person and family have a stable place to live, with their basic human needs met.
In 2021, House of Charity and St. Stephen’s Human Services merged to become Agate Housing and Services.
Event Day Details
Save the date - CNOY Day is February 25, 2023!
This is a virtual event. A link to the online streaming event will be sent on February 24th.
We had hoped to start and finish at our Food Centre, but repairs and permits have been delayed.
We will have a tour of the Food Centre, hear from A Day in the Life Educators and walk together at our respective locations. Agate was formed by the merger of House of Charity and St. Stephen's Human Services. We have been providing public meals at 714 Park Avenue since 1972 and other sites since 1952.
