Central Iowa Shelter & Services (CISS) is dedicated to offering shelter, support, and essential services to empower individuals on their journey to self-sufficiency and permanent housing. Participation in the Coldest Night of the Year event is crucial for us as it not only sheds light on the stark realities faced by our neighbors experiencing homelessness but also fosters empathy and understanding within the community. This event serves as a powerful platform to educate the public and rally support for our mission, highlighting the importance of collective action in building a more compassionate and supportive society.
