Micah Ecumenical Ministries has been serving the Fredericksburg area for 20 years. We are cultivating a continuum of compassion with unhoused neighbors. We envision living as a community where all neighbors have a home. We serve people experiencing homelessness, and walk alongside them in their journeys back into housing and back into community.

What Micah Ministries does

We operate many different ministries to meet our neighbors' needs and walk alongside them. Just to name a few:

-- hospitality spaces that offer basic needs assistance.

-- a Neighbor Care Center that works intensively with our neighbors overcoming homelessness.

-- an income development program.

-- a permanent housing program.

-- a worshipping community called Street Church.

-- a Cold Weather Shelter during winter months when temperatures are freezing.

-- a small temporary hotel-shelter called Hesed House for neighbors awaiting move-in to permanent housing.

-- a HealthBridge program that connects our neighbors to medical care.

-- a Respite House that provides temporary shelter for unhoused neighbors discharging from hospitals.

-- a future vision for a community of small homes in Fredericksburg called Jeremiah Community!
