The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!
Our mission is big, we are committed to Eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
YWCA La Crosse is able to work our mission and provide the following services with generous support from our community and donors:
Quality child care to more than 40 families. Offering play and centering an Anti Bias Curriculum, we teach the values in our mission.
Restorative practices connect more than 800 students and 700 school district staff to restorative principles. A Girls Empowerment Group, a new imitative, has started this fall and continues to grow.
Supportive housing programs:
Ophelia House, a jail alternative collaborative program with La Crosse County and Justice Support Services, has provided opportunity and supportive services to more than 30 women.
Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program, YHDP is an initiative designed to reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness. YWCA La Crosse's Housing Navigators and System Navigators have helped more than 80 young adults work toward their housing goals, increase income, learn life skills, and build community connections.
YWCA La Crosse front desk staff at REACH, provide the first point of contact for supportive services. More than 6,000 individuals have received assistance, connection, vital resources, and basic needs through the REACH collaborative.
Thank you for signing up to walk, lead a team, and support our first Coldest Night of the Year event!
