About Love Inc of Boone County
Love In the Name of Christ of Boone County is a unique network of churches and agencies that responds to needs of ordinary people who need HOPE in the midst of a difficult time in life. Our mission is to mobilize the local church to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ. The Boone County Clearinghouse officially opened in September 2008 to accept calls for assistance. Today more than 40 churches throughout Boone County partner with Love INC to reach out to assist people with needs and to do so In the Name of Christ.
This will be our second year of participating in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser which supports charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger and homelessness. We are excited to do it again!
This year, we will be donating all of the funds raised to support several local food pantries in Boone County. The cost of feeding a family has increased tremendously and we see many families in need of food assistance. In fact, over 1 in 4 Boone County households are considered ALICE and poverty by household type. *ALICE=Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained and Employed. We would love your help in providing food to those in need living right here in our community!
