About Manitowoc Warming Shelter

The Manitowoc Warming Shelter provides a safe, warm refuge for some of our neighbors facing homelessness during the harsh Wisconsin winters. We are more than just a shelter—we are a place of compassion, connection, and hope.

Every night, our doors open to offer warmth, nourishing meals, and a welcoming space. Currently, our permit and space allows us to offer shelter to a maximum of 12 individuals. Almost every night we have to turn up to 8 people away.

This year, we are proud to partner with Coldest Night of the Year. With their help we hope to raise vital funds to 1)ensure no one in our community is left out in the cold, 2) provide washers and dryers so that no one has to wear dirty clothes, and, 3) provide showers for guests. Providing these very basic needs will restore dignity to those brothers and sisters needing a hand up.

Join us on this journey of kindness—step by step, we can make winter warmer for everyone.

Walk with us. Give hope. Be the difference.
