The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!
Parking is available at Alpha Community Center. The check in desk will be inside the Alpha Community Center.
The walk will take you uptown to Sidney First Methodist Church and then around the CourtSquare and back to Alpha Community Center/Mercy Mission House for a light meal with soups, sandwiches, coffee and hot chocolate.
2K CNOY Sidney Walk. Leave Alpha Community Center, walk up to Bay Street then back down Ohio to the Shelter/Alpha Community Center.
Mercy Mission House opened its doors on February 14, 2022, after a short capital campaign and building renovations. Mercy Mission House Emergency Shelter is the only shelter in Shelby County, Ohio. MMH is unique because it serves men, women and families on one campus. In addition, it has various campus partners that all serve clients from one location.
Coldest Night of the Year will allow us to build awareness of what our homeless brothers, sisters and kids face during the Ohio winter months. It costs $35,000 a month to run the shelter and we serve 30-40 people a night. We need help covering operating expenses to continue to provide a safe, warm place to sleep, heal and move forward!
