The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there.
Walk Starts at Las Colonias Park, West of the Butterfly Pond
Use Parking Lot by the Dog Park, East of the Ampitheatre
HomewardBound of the Grand Valley is dedicated to our mission to end the unwanted condition of homelessness in our community and we can’t stop until every unhoused person has a path home.
Each year, our two shelter locations serve approximately 1,200 individuals of all ages who are experiencing homelessness in Mesa County. As the only year-round homeless shelter within a 200-mile radius, we provide emergency shelter and nutritious meals for up to 270 individuals per night. Beyond caring for basic needs, healthcare, and shelter, HomewardBound provides programming to encourage and enrich the lives of guests staying at our facilities. From case management and navigation services that help guests access community resources to our Recovery Living and Purposeful Work programs that provide tools for guests to rebuild their lives, HomewardBound is doing more than just providing emergency shelter.
