About Portsmouth Volunteers for the Homeless

We have a mission at Portsmouth Volunteers for the Homeless, and many see it as sheltering and operating a day service center; however, those of us who are truly “sold out” for the mission see it as a lot more…

...we see it as helping to build confidence, restore faith and rekindle hope while influencing the paradigm of perceptions about homelessness.

When a person thinks they are worthy of more, their behavior changes. There's a shift in their thinking and their actions! We know that our thoughts are the seeds of our actions so when we inspire and rekindle hope, we have the ability to help change behavior and changed behavior can change lives.

Our Coldest Night of the Year 5K Walk reminds us life is sometimes uncomfortable and yet there is hope for better tomorrows! Join us as we walk for better tomorrows!
